Do we need an excuse to party? Not during March Madness—those weeks of rapid succession basketball tournaments featuring many major colleges and universities. We love to gather around the television and root for our favorite teams. And no, we don't have any money riding on the games.

Let's face it: Some days the food is the best part of watching The Big Game. But you can’t be tied up all afternoon in the kitchen. So we’ve devised a simple, flavorful menu that easily can be prepared in advance.

Hundreds of lucky guests have already gobbled up all the seats at the Frontera Grill and Topolobampo New Year’s Eve festivities, so we’re busy planning our at-home fiesta.

We absolutely love appetizers from elegant little crab cakes to crisp chips topped with spicy goodness. Like Cher in the movie Mermaids, we would eat them for dinner all the time. Trouble is, making delicious, attractive appetizers often takes more time than making a “real” meal.
