Enjoy a craft ale and make your own soft tacos at Xoco Bistro. Sound good? Then you'll want to head over to the Wicker Park location where Chef Rick Bayless recently expanded the menu to include a Classic Plates section that reads like a short list for the Mexican comfort food hall-of-fame: Enchiladas Suizas, Carnitas, Cochinita Pibil, Chilaquiles, Barbacoa, Pollo a la Leña...you get the idea.
But wait, there's more: try the Albondigas al Chipotle (meatballs!) or Carne en su Jugo, a rich and savory steak dish with beans and bacon, and there's a Shrimp Mojo de Ajo you won't believe. You'll find new starters and sides too, and of course, Xoco's signature selection of Tortas and Caldos. For fans of Rick’s cooking, the new offering also expands happily into familiar territory, like the Mole Poblano dish with roasted Gunthorp Farms chicken, or the crispy Sopes with short rib barbacoa.
