The experiences we filmed for this episode couldn't be any different: one was a beer tasting at a modern microbrewery called Baja Brewing Company in San Jose del Cabo owned by Americans, and other learning about hundred-year old cooking techniques deep in the desert.
After tasting beer and pizza at 9am (the tight schedule for filming doesn't necessarily allow for a civilized drinking hour!), we set off on what seemed an interminable 45-minute ride into the heart of the desert. We arrived at the home of Doña Ramona and learned about the process for making tacos from dried beef as well as from cactus using wood fire and clay pots. The footage is incredible!
