Fresh Herbs | Print |

There’s absolutely nothing that says summer better than fresh herbs—sprinkled over salad or pasta or in a simple tomato sauce—or fresh salsa.

Though I always set out a lot of herb seedlings in my garden, I also plant a few in pots because I love to bring them in to the kitchen countertop to snip fresh. And potted herbs make great table decorations, especially when eating outside.

Container herbs grow well in a sunny window or in pots on the porch or deck. For the best results, be sure to feed them weekly and water them consistently (which means daily in hot weather). And enjoy them often.
