Mescal and Victoria Beer Cocktail | Print |

Makes 1 cocktail

  • 1 ½ ounces Oaxacan mescal
  • 1 ounce Aperol
  • ¾ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • 5 drops Peychaud’s bitters
  • 1 ½ ounces medium-bodied Mexican beer (Victoria is preferable)
  • A 2-inch strip of lime zest (removed with a vegetable peeler)

Combine the mescal, Aperol, lime juice, simple syrup and bitters in a glass measure. Pour over ice cubes in a 10-ounce glass. Top with the beer and serve with the strip of lime zest.
